3 Must-Try Spritz Recipes for Spring & Summer | Easy Italian Aperitivo Cocktails

Your glass called. It wants a spritz.

Easy builds, no shakers, maximum sunshine.

The days are stretching. Coats are unbuttoned. Pavements are busy again. Which can only mean one thing: it's spritz season.

Light, bittersweet and effortlessly refreshing, the Italian spritz cocktail is less about mixology theatre and more about great ingredients, cold glasses and not overthinking it.

If you’re looking for easy spritz recipes to make at home, these are three we come back to every spring and summer — all simple, all Italian, and all built with bottles we actually love.

1. Limoncello Spritz

Sunshine in a glass..

Fresh lemon, crisp bubbles and just a touch of sweetness. Think Amalfi energy — even if it’s just your balcony pretending to be “al fresco”.

You’ll need:

  • Limoncello
  • Prosecco
  • Soda water
  • Lemon slice (mint optional, but encouraged)

How to make a Limoncello Spritz: Start with plenty of ice. Add limoncello, top with Prosecco, and finish with a splash of soda water. Garnish with a lemon slice.

2. Classic Aperitivo Spritz

The one that started it all..

If spring had a house pour, this would be it. Bright orange, gently bitter and perfectly balanced — the classic Italian aperitivo spritz is everything you want before dinner.

You’ll need:

  • Italian Aperitivo
  • Prosecco
  • A splash of soda water
  • An orange wedge

How to make an Aperitivo Spritz: Fill a large wine glass with ice. Add the aperitivo, top generously with Prosecco, then finish with soda. Give it one gentle stir and garnish with orange.

3. Negroni Sbagliatio

A happy accident from Milan — now firmly in the spotlight..

Swapping gin for Prosecco makes this a lighter, more refreshing take on a classic Negroni. Still bitter, still aromatic, just far easier drinking.

You’ll need:

  • Italian Bitter
  • Vermouth rosso
  • Prosecco
  • Orange peel

How to make a Negroni Sbagliato: Add equal parts bitter and vermouth over ice. Top with Prosecco and finish with a twist of orange peel.

Easy Aperitivo Spritz | Sociovino

The Sociovino rule of spritz: Don’t butcher it with bad Prosecco.

If your base wine is sweet, dull or aggressively fizzy, no amount of aperitivo will save it. A good spritz needs dry, fresh, well‑made Prosecco — crisp enough to lift the drink, neutral enough to let the other flavours do their thing.

That’s exactly why we only stock Prosecco we’d happily drink on its own, and why it also happens to be brilliant in a spritz. Click here to shop Prosecco, and as always, don't hesitate to reach out with questions or for reccomendations.
