Mature yet refined and complex, this wonderfully crafted Australian Shiraz offers classic ripe, dark fruits, chocolate, earth and touch of spice, balanced by considerable finesse. Like all Adelinas wines it has serious focus, elegance and lots of character.

Adelina makes small quantities of highly regarded wines from cool vineyards in the Clare Valley, north of Adelaide in Southern Australia. All the grapes for Adelina Shiraz Mataro come from estate owned vineyards, most come from 100+ year old Shiraz vines (otherwise known as Syrah) which are blended with grapes from young Mataro vines (otherwise known as Mourvèdre). They practice organic and biodynamic farming but are not certified. All the fruit is carefully selected, hand-picked and de-stemmed. An extended maceration period on the skins gives the wine texture and depth of flavour. Fermentation and maturation in a combination of concrete tank and wooden barrels.
