One of the most exciting wineries in Clare Valley, Adelina is a small production project established in 2002 by Col McBryde and Jennie Gardner. These incredible talents make a serious duo, they met whilst studying Oenology at Adelaide University, both have an extensive history in winemaking and industry research and both have PhDs in Microbiology.

Adelina's wines are made exclusively of grapes hand-picked from the estate's vineyards, which they farm according to organic and biodynamic principles. They have a mix of old vine Shiraz and Grenache plantings and some young Shiraz, Mataro and Riesling. The Adelina winery is modest, a no frills, relaxed environment where they concentrate on making honest wines of focus and purity through minimal intervention. The grapes are whole-bunch pressed, they experiment with wild ferments, extended lees ageing and a range of different fermentation vessels such as concrete, steel and wood.

These wines are a pleasure to drink, serious craftsmanship, varietal purity and true expressions of this beautiful terroir. For an introduction to their range try Adelina Riesling Watervale which is bright and concentrated or Adelina Shiraz Mataro which is opulent and mature, we assure you, you will not be disappointed.
