Crafted from Syrah vines between 40 and 70 years old, the wine spends 12 months ageing in large 400L oak barrels before a short rest in tank, allowing the fruit to shine while adding subtle texture and complexity. Perfect with: grilled ribeye, lamb chops cooked over charcoal, or anything kissed by open flames. A cracking bottle for barbecues that deserve something a little special.
Fans of Rhône wines will be familiar with the name Farge, thanks to the excellent work of Guy Farge and his eponymous Domaine over the past 25 years. Today, his son Thomas takes the reins at the family winery making him the fifth generation Farge at the head of the estate, and he is pointing the wines in a decidedly new direction.
