Moscato d’Asti is a sweet sparkling wine made in the area of Asti, in the region of Piedmont, North-West of Italy. The Moscato grape is native to Piedmont and has been vinified here for hundreds of years. The village of Castiglione Tinella, where Saracco winery is located, is highly regarded as one of the prime areas for the production of high-quality Moscato. Saracco Moscato d'Asti is a 100% Moscato wine that has been partially fermented to 5.5 degrees of alcohol, making for a perfect balance of residual sugar, acidity, and low alcohol, very well balanced and incredibly easy drinking.
One of the most successful producers of this style, Paolo Saracco Moscato d'Asti is an exemplary wine of undeniable quality and incredible value for money. One of the true gems of our portfolio. An Italian Moscato wine which makes for an excellent aperitif or can be enjoyed with most cheeses and a variety of desserts. In the words of critically acclaimed Italian wine writer and our dear friend Ian D’Agata ""If I had a big enough goblet, I’d fill it up and go swimming in the stuff (with my mouth open, of course)".
Fans of Moscato d’Asti will undoubtedly have Paolo Saracco at the top of their radars! A master of Moscato, Paolo draws upon generations of family knowledge, tradition, and passion, to make benchmark examples of this much-loved low alcohol, sweet, sparkling wine. Which can be found on the lists of top restaurants across the globe!
