Oddero Poderi e Cantine (or Oddero for short) is without question one of the great names of Barolo. One of the largest owners of vineyards in the Langhe area, to their revered red wines the Oddero family bring seven generations of experience. In the decades and centuries gone by, the Oddero family has been central to the development of the Barolo wine region and its appreciation around the world. One of the first Italian wine producers to ship their red wines to the United States in the 19th century, Oddero has always been a pioneer in Barolo and today they produce 14 wines, six of which are Barolo DOCGs.

Based in the heart of the La Morra commune of Barolo to the west of the appellation, known for its younger soils and softer Barolo expression, Oddero has vineyards that span across the Barolo area and include some of the most prized vineyards in the area. Vigna Rionda, Bussia, Villero, and Brunate are some of the single vineyards from which the produce exquisite Barolos, each with its unique and clearly differentiated personality and charm. Since 2011, all of Oddero’s vineyards wines have been produced organically, something which the Mariacristina, Luisa and Pietro, the current generation in charge, are passionate about continuing.
