Based in the heart of the La Morra commune of Barolo to the west of the appellation, known for its younger soils and softer Barolo expression, Oddero has vineyards that span across the Barolo area and include some of the most prized vineyards in the area. Vigna Rionda, Bussia, Villero, and Brunate are some of the single vineyards from which the produce exquisite Barolos, each with its unique and clearly differentiated personality and charm. Since 2011, all of Oddero’s vineyards wines have been produced organically, something which the Mariacristina, Luisa and Pietro, the current generation in charge, are passionate about continuing.
La potenza senza eleganza e completamente inutile - “power without elegance is completely useless” a phrase that the Oddero family proudly communicate but the motto stretched beyond their words, it transcends their wines. From their Barbera d’Alba Superiore Nizza, right up to their Barolo Riserva Vigna Rionda, there is a seemless partnership between structure, strength and tension alongside elegance, ethereality and charm. For a true expression of all of PIedmont and the Langhe’s potential in wine, take a trip through the wines of Oddero Poderi e Cantine.
