From one of Italy’s most top winemakers comes this exciting new project called Fondo Indizeno. Fondo Indizeno winery is located in Colli Orientali del Friuli, in the Northeast of Italy. Their vineyards cover three villages; Buttrio, Premariacco and Prepotto. Each chosen specifically for having superior quality terroir, with the aim to showcase the areas potential and quality attainable. They work with 15 hectares of old vines planted with Ribolla Gialla, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Friulano, Malvasia and Pinot Bianco.

Talented and legendary winemaker Christian Patat, has worked across Italy as a consultant for many years, using his incredible knowledge, aptitude for spotting potential and distinguished palate to help smaller wineries reach their full potential. A native of Friuli himself, this is an area that he is particularly passionate about and has committed himself to developing, nourishing and promoting. In homage to local producers who have helped promote the area and sculpt its identity, each wine is named after specific vignerons. Fondo Indizeno Chardonnay and Fondo Indizeno Ribolla Gialla, like with all Christians wines, are incredibly executed, exemplarily styles, which show so much promise for Friulian wine.
