Black Cottage is a family-run winery, nestled alongside the Opawa River, in the heart of the Marlborough region of New Zealand. A project that was started by seasoned winemaker David Clouston, who, after spending many years travelling the world and making wine, returned to his native New Zealand to live out his dream of making wines that showcase the beautiful region which he calls home, Marlborough. The winery is named after the little black cottage he lives in, in the stunning Wairau Valley.

Sustainability is at the core of their philosophy and, as part of the Sustainable Winegrowers New Zealand programme, they boost biodiversity, improve the habitat for local wildlife, reduce carbon emissions by using environmentally friendly bottles and all their wines are now Vegetarian and Vegan friendly.

Black Cottage wines are full of character, approachable and, well, pretty damn delicious! The Black Cottage Sauvignon Blanc is the hallmark wine of their range, a beautiful example of this iconic style. Showing classic zesty, freshness and tropical fruits. A must-try wine for New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc fans out there.
