About this wine case

There are some white wines that change and develop with time spent in the glass, they begin with fruity notes that give way to savoury, possibly oak-influenced accents and can even open up to dried herbs. There are also some white wines that fill our mouths with broad, warm textures, enveloping flavours and velvety sensations. It is six of these Rich and Complex whites that we have brought together for you here. An opportunity for you to experience some of the best, most interesting, small-production whites we can get our hands on.

In the deceiving powerful Furmint F from Tornai in Hungary, we have a wine packed full of lemon balm, lime zest and steely minerals partnered with a medium to full body that showcases all of Hungary’s volcanic potential. The Gran Passione Veneto Bianco is an introduction to some of the broad and textured whites of Veneto – a blend of Chardonnay and Garganega, fermented and aged in oak, alongside the ripe orchard fruit character the wine is elevated by notes of vanilla and nutmeg. The Gumpoldskirchner, a perfectly pronounceable white blend from brothers Reinisch in Austria, is a deliciously warming wine, with ripe nectarine notes weaved with candied citrus peel and a softly sweet, golden finish.

The Erbaluce di Caluso is another white whose pronunciation complexity is matched only by its flavour profile. From the heights of Italy’s Alps, this full-bodied white is weaved with ripe grape, nettle and white pear aromas, all with a zingy lift on the finish. In the Terlaner Cuvée we have an iconic Italian white, an otherwise unusual blend of varieties that offers a spectrum of fruits from citrus through to exotic, with bitter almonds and volcanic notes. All balanced by a mouth-filling body and dazzling texture. And finally, the Cialla Bianco from Ronchi di Cialla, the essence of Friuli. A blend of indigenous white grapes, fermented and aged in used barriques which gives us white plums, pear, vanilla and rising dough.
