For our Superiore Bottle of Both Case, we have selected two showstoppers, from two of the world's most important wine regions. But in the hands of our small producers, this Rioja and Sancerre offer truly beautiful expressions. A biodynamic Sancerre, possible Sauvignon Blanc's most elegant form, with lemon balm, grapefruit, and chalky stone notes, lifted by a delicate, medium body and such beautiful freshness. The Rioja from Creaciones Exeo is part of a new wave of producers, putting emphasis on purity of fruit rather than oak influence. Delicious red and blackberry fruit character are augmented but subtle spices and an intriguing earthiness.

From Sancerre, in the Loire Valley comes this outstanding, French Sauvignon Blanc which has been crafted with biodynamic grapes. On the nose, there are typical crushed stone character, minerality, notes of gooseberry and white peach. The palate has a seamless precision, the fruits dancing with the floral and mineral elements for a delicious glass of wine. On the finish, the poised acidity shines through and you're left with a lingering citrus fruit note. This is an incredible wine of elegance and finesse. For very good reason, Sancerre is a staple on restaurant wine lists across the world and you'll be hard pushed to find better ones than this.

Creaciones Exeo is a new wave Rioja producer, stepping away from traditional methods, using neoteric techniques to produce fresher styles of wine with a lesser reliance an oak influence. Red berry fruit jumps out of the glass here but after a couple of seconds we get hints of warm Spanish earth and soft oaky spice. Combined, this makes for a sumptuous red, fruitier than your usual Rioja, but warming and spicy. This is a modern, classy, and confident Rioja for those who like boundary-pushing wines.
