Colazingari produces its liqueurs using a cold infusion method, which helps to retain flavor. This is the oldest among all recipes still in use by Colazingari Liquori. They keep the old and traditional methods of production, improving them where possible, allowing time for the long pauses between the different phases of production and for the natural fining of Sambuca Fina.
This exclusive liquor is sweet and dry at the same time, delicate but strong, perfumed but never invasive. A little bit of dark chocolate is the perfect compliment for this sambuca!
The Colazingari Distillery, Antica Fabrrica Liquori Colazingari, was founded in the Scurano district of Alatri, one of the oldest towns in Eastern Lazio, almost 200 years ago in 1830. Its recipes have passed through family generations, imbuing their preparation of cold infusion and spirit maturation with two centuries of experience. As a result, we’re privileged to introduce you to liqueurs characterised by a level of refinement and depth of flavour rarely found outside of the headquarters of the Colazingari distillery – which is still found in Alatri.
