About the wine

Rosso Piceno is a traditional blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano grapes from the Marche region on the Eastern coast of Italy. Ripe, juicy, warm, and smooth. This fills the mouth with ripe plum and cherry character with some cassis notes coming through on the finish.

Tenuta di Tavignano is a quality focused, family run winery in the heart of the Marche. Sustainability has always been a huge part of their philosophy; they implement eco-friendly practices where possible and are certified organic. Tenuta di Tavignano Rosso Piceno Cervidoni is a blend of 70% Montepulciano and 30% Sangiovese grapes which are carefully selected, and hand harvested from their hillside vineyards west of Ancona. Whilst macerating on the skins the must (unfermented grape juice) goes through fermentation in stainless steel tank, before being put into Slavonian oak barrels for 6 months of ageing.
