Enjoy a collection of six bottles of some of Italy's most popular red wines.
Explore some Italy's most cherished wines from classic regions across the country. From Northern Italian gems such as Piedmontese Barbera, Veneto's Valpolicella Classico and Friuli's native Refosco. Venturing further south to discover Tuscany's Chianti Classico, then a classic Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. And from the Island of Sardinia a classic Cannonau di Sardegna from renowned winemaker Giuseppe Gabbas.

2019 Barbera d'Asti 'Solo Acciao', Montalbera - Piedmont
Unusually for Barbera, this wine spends no time in oak barrel. This means it retains its fresh fruit character and its beautiful, round mouthfeel comes from smart treatment of grapes. This is medium bodied with ripe, cherry fruit character and a bright acidity that will pair perfectly with ragù or grilled meat.

2019 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Caldora - Abruzzo
Montepulciano is one of Italy's most widely planted grape varities. This wine is has lots to offer. Fruity, full-bodied and round on the palate with ripe plum and blackberry character. The fruit is balanced by lovely acidity and hints of spice and vanilla.

2019 Valpolicella Classico, Le Salette - Veneto, Italy
Italy's famed, elegant red that is light on its feet but pure and precise. Notes of fresh raspberries and cranberries fill the palate and underneath there is a delicate dried herb note. Lifted and bright, this will pair perfectly with cured meats and antipasti dishes.

2017 Refosco, Ronchi di Cialla - Friuli
One of Friuli's finest producers, who have built a reputation for working soley with indigenous grape varietes, such as Refosco, Ribolla and Schioppettino. This refosco is elegant, fruit driven with notes of ripe cherries, blackberry and small red berries and a delicate touch of balsamic.

2019 Chianti 'Biskero', Salcheto - Tuscany
This organic Chianti spends little time in oak, unlike many of its Tuscan siblings. This gives the Sangiovese grape the chance to express its pure red cherry and plum character and a delicate spiced finish. Smooth, ripe and fresh this will accompany a Pasta al Ragù just perfectly.

2019 Cannonau di Sardegna 'Lillové', Gabbas - Sardinia
Known for producing exemplary traditional Sardinian styles, Gabbas' Cannonau is elegant, with a fragrant bouquet of fresh raspberries and violets, soft tannins and a hint of white pepper on the finish.
